Eridan's breakthrough Switch-Mode Direct Polar transmitter is a digitally controlled, ultra-efficient design that removes the traditional linear amplifier. Built with custom Gallium Nitride (GaN) for the power stages and CMOS SOI for the controller — a world first.
Every Eridan radio transmits with exceptionally low distortion, achieving an Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) as low as 0.4% — far exceeding standard limits. This enables higher spectral efficiency, more data per MHz, and greater cell-edge throughput.
Instead of compensating for a fundamentally inefficient component, Eridan's transmitter generates the waveform directly within the power stage. No DPD. No CFR compensation. Just up to 4× higher power efficiency versus traditional radios.
Eridan's transmitter operates across two octaves of tuning range — 600 MHz to 4.2 GHz — with a simple passive filter board swap. This reduces inventory, simplifies manufacturing, accelerates deployment, and adapts to multiple frequency bands without hardware redesign.
